Project Description:

Data Strategy Planning, including identifying the right data and partnerships to fit within the company objectives. This includes, but is not limited to space earth observation data,
environmental and fisheries statistics and underwater data. Two to three main geographical areas will be decided as core focus to inform the below objectives and key outputs.

Project Objectives
  1. Assess SensFish’s data needs, ensuring alignment with the company’s current and
    future objectives, technological roadmap, and cloud infrastructure. This includes
    evaluating programming languages, data processing tools, and other relevant
    technologies
  2. Identify and evaluate key data resources across the board (satellite, underwater,
    environmental and marine data and statistics) – ensuring top data quality, reliable,
    long-term data access and conditions for commercial use, ensuring data
    transparency and cyber security measures
  3. Identify and gather contacts of potential data partners and data acquisition strategy,
    considering regulatory compliance on a global level and cost-effectiveness
  4. Support with scheduling meetings with the core contacts and participate in
    conversations and negotiations assuring the mentioned criteria when securing access
    is granted
Intended Outputs
  1. A clear and comprehensive excel spreadsheet with above-mentioned data, sources and characteristics, including all the above-mentioned criteria
  2. An efficient (short and concise) and comprehensive Data strategy report, easy to use
    for software developers
  3. An number of meetings with data providers
Ideal Candidate

A mix of technical, business and analytical skills, General data understanding and integration from various sources, familiarity with cloud platforms (E.g., AWS), familiarity with Python, knowledge of AI and ML models for predictive analytics, research, communication, problem solving, leadership.
